Shared Experiences

The role of this page is to share with other activists descriptive information about events/actions in your area that have been successful in:

  1. changing people’s minds about recognizing that human activity is the primary driver of global warming and/or the urgency of truly effective national policies to reduce warming gas emissions, and/or
  2. increasing the resistance to the Trumpocracy and all that it stands for
  3. potentially increasing positive activism for the 2018 election

We can help each out with ideas about what works and doesn’t. WORKING TOGETHER - #TheResistance

Counter-Inaugural Rally Held in Utica, NY
(Video) WKTV, Saturday, January 21, 2017

UTICA, NY - A counter-inaugural rally was held at the Desales Center in Downtown Utica Saturday.

The "Say No to Trump's Agenda: A Unity Rally for a Progressive Future" was designed to mobilize Central New Yorkers against the policies of the Trump administration.

The event featured speakers, workshops, and a teach-in to discuss how the policies of the new administration will affect local residents.

"We're very worried about the Trump agenda and the Republican agenda" says Dr. Kenneth Mazlen of CNY Citizens in Action. "We can see that a lot of harm can come from it. This is not a criticism of people who voted for Trump. It is a criticism of his policies in terms of how he has treated other people."

The event was just one of hundreds of rallies and protests that were held across the country in objection to the Trump inauguration.
